January in Senior Infants

During the month of January, Senior Infants have been learning about the Post Office. The children have been writing and posting letters. We learned how to address an envelope and the postmen and women soon got used to reading names and addresses when delivering letters and packages!

The children painted forests by mixing paints to make various shades of green. They also made prints using tinfoil to create a snowy effect on the ground.

Maths has been very busy this month. We used counters for combining and partitioning. Using counters really helped to grasp the concept.

Scoil Chormaic have been really active this month. As a whole school we have engaged in the 10 @10 programme each morning. We even had a whole school 10@10 in the school yard where the children had an opportunity to exercise at different stations.
