Storm Lorenzo, Friday morning:

We do not know yet how the storm will effect us on Friday morning. We have been warned that destructive storm force winds, torrential rain, thunder and lightning and possible power cuts will hit Ireland tonight. We are not sure about safety issues you may have travelling to school on foot or by bus or car. The Department of Education is recommending to schools to ‘err on the side of caution’. Please only leave your house if it is safe to do so. We will inform you by text message as soon as we know if there are any changes to the school day. Barring any particular adverse health and safety situation, the school will be open at the normal time if we do not have a Red Weather Warning status. Please check the school website for updates and ensure you check your phone for possible messages from the school.
