Seachtain na Gaeilge is always well celebrated in Scoil Chormaic CNS. Throughout the week, pupils are encouraged to speak more Irish and to engage in Irish cultural activities. This year we had to do some of our events a little differently, but we still had fun and enjoyed the different activities across the week! On March 16th we celebrated Lá Glas – a day where pupils celebrate the Irish language, culture and St. Patrick’s Day. Have a look at some of the fun activities we did.
We did PE, Art and Science lessons through Irish.
Comórtas Ealaín – Art competition. We ran an art competition in each classroom. The theme was based on an Irish proverb or Seanfhocal.
We celebrate Lá Glas – the pupils wore green clothes to school, played games as Gaeilge and made some St. Patrick’s Day themed art.
