November in Ms Bell’s Senior Infants

November was a busy month in Ms Bell’s Senior Infants. Our theme was ‘Space’ this month. During Aistear, we loved being astronauts in the role play area, blasting into space in the rocket and walking on the moon with our moon boots! We made rocks in the arts and crafts area as well as astronauts. We even turned ourselves into astronauts using our pictures 🙂 We built rocket ships and the planets in the construction and playdough areas.

We learned all about the sun, moon, stars and planets as part of Science Week too. We drew a picture of space using black paper and chalk. The children enjoyed blending the colours together using their fingers.

This month we put a huge focus on our health and wellbeing. We took part in pilates classes every Monday with a pilates teacher. We had fun doing the different poses and enjoyed the relaxation at the end of each class.

We also did GAA on Thursdays with Anthony from O’Dwyers GAA club. The children had so much fun with him and learning new skills. They especially enjoyed doing his silly dance moves and singing his favourite song!

We can’t wait to see what December brings!
