Final two weeks of school

Dear parents,

For the final two weeks of school, we will move the focus away from academic work and onto wellbeing and health. These are vitally important for the pupils at the end of a very stressful period generally and a challenging period for schooling.

For the second last week of term, from June 15th to 29th, we are holding a Wellbeing Week. We will send a list of activities at the start of the week for you to complete over the week. You can choose the wellbeing activities that suit you best. As always you are very welcome to send any feedback to us, but be mindful not to interrupt the wellbeing process by taking a picture or video midway through. The emphasis is on the ‘process’ here and not the ‘product’! Allow children to be in the moment – undisturbed, where possible.

For the final week of term, from June 22nd to 26th, we are holding an Active Week. A more detailed timetable of events will be posted on the school website (www.scoilchormaiccns.ie) closer to the time but rest assured that we have some really fun and exciting activities planned! These will include teacher skill challenges, sports day games, scavenger hunts and a daily walk/run challenge for the whole family! This will be an amazing way for us to round off the school year and show that we can still come together (online!) as a whole school community for one of our favourite weeks in the calendar! All of the activities will be available through your child’s class Seesaw account.

Regards,

Scoil Chormaic Teachers
