Claude Monet’s inspired artwork in Ms Forde’s 3rd class

This week we looked at Claude Monet’s paintings of Venice. We looked at how he showed the city in different times of the day, using different colours, shades and brushstrokes.

Claude Monet’s paintings of Venice

This inspired our own artwork. First we sketched a scene in Venice using our pencil. We put in the water, bridges, shadows, reflections, gondolas, buildings and anything else we wanted to include.

Then we used our paintbrushes to create our artwork. Everyone’s picture was different. They all came out amazing!
