Maths Week in Junior Infants

Junior Infants went on a shape hunt in the school during Maths Week. They had to find squares, circles, ovals, rectangles and triangles around the building! They really enjoyed using their maths eyes and spotting items such as the windows, bricks, doors, arrows, picture frames and signs that were the shapes we were searching for! Once they found some shapes they had to colour the shape in on their worksheet.

We also enjoyed some fun maths stations throughout the week. We visited four stations which involved making various shapes with match sticks, making numbers with playdough, making chains and towers that were longer/shorter/taller and making pictures using 2D shapes. We had great fun!
