For the attention of Fourth Class Parents

For the attention of parents of children in the 4th classes of Miss Diskin and Mr McEligott

Dear parents/ guardians,

Welcome to the school year 2016 -2017.  I hope you and your children have had an enjoyable summer holiday.

As you know our new building in Stephenstown is nearing completion. It is expected to be ready at the beginning of November 2016. In the meantime, we are short of two classrooms in our school building in Castlemill. Until the new school building is completed in November, it has been decided to accommodate two of our 4th classes   in Bremore Educate Together (ET) building. Bremore ET is sited next to St. George’s NS on the Naul Road. These classes will be taught by Miss Diskin and Mr McEligott.  |

Scoil Chormaic CNS principal and management acknowledge that this is not an ideal solution for parents, particularly where two children from the same family will be in two different locations. In order to facilitate parents who have to bring children to the two different locations, the school at Bremore will begin and end each day 10 minutes before the school in Castlemill.

Parents whose children are attending 4th class in the Bremore building are asked to bring their child to that building between 8:40am and 8:50am. The school in the Bremore location starts at 8:50 and finishes at 2:30pm daily. Parents, please note we have been advised that there is no parking at the temporary location. Parents of children attending all other classes in Castlemill will bring their children to school at the usual time i.e. between 8.50 and 9.00 a.m. The school in Castlemill will end at 2.40 p.m. as usual.

Scoil Chormaic CNS has been in contact with the contractors working on the through road to the main road. They will endeavour to make pedestrian access available to this road as soon as possible and no later than 9th September.

The two classes will be with their teachers Miss Diskin and Mr McElligott in the temporary accommodation next to St George’s NS. They will share the building with Bremore Educate together second level school. This is a great opportunity for us to get to know our neighbours on the shared campus in Stephentown.

We appreciate your understanding in this temporary arrangement, look forward to continuing to work in partnership with you and are excited that Scoil Chormaic CNS will soon be in its permanent building!
